Students in Ms. Smith’s social studies classes learned about both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day this week!
We learned about the first people who lived in North America and their families, their land, and their culture. We celebrated by reading a Native American story called Fry Bread and learning a song, which included American Sign Language for “one world, one people, one love.”
