Our kindergarteners had an amazing time at Demarest Farms picking pumpkins, enjoying cider and donuts, visiting the petting zoo, and playing on the farm playground. It was a perfect fall day for an adventure! @BogotaPublic

Congratulations to our Bixby September Staff Member of the Month: Ms. Caroline Woo! Ms. Woo started working as a preschool teacher at Steen School 5 years ago and is now one of our preschool teachers here at Bixby. Ms. Woo is always so kind and patient. Her students love her as a result and she has such a great rapport with them. Ms. Woo always meets her young students at their level so they can grow as individuals and be successful. She takes on all challenges with a positive attitude and consistently comes to school each day with a smile! In her free time, Ms. Woo enjoys reading, crafting, hiking with her dog, and pickleball! Congratulations to our Bixby Paraprofessional of the Month, Ms. Heidy Reyes. Ms. Reyes works in one of our 2nd grade classrooms. She is incredibly dedicated, organized, smart, and extremely caring about the students she works with. Her kind demeanor and responsible work ethic are inspiring. Additonally, she consistently demonstrates genuine care for the well-being of her students and is extremely attentive to their needs. We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month here at Bixby! Kindergarteners in Senorita Fain's Spanish classes learned about the word heritage and discussed different ways to show how they are each proud of their own heritage! @BogotaPublic

Check out these apple scientists in Mrs. Zayas-Bazan and Ms. Rogers' first grade class! Students tasted different color apples and also predicted if the apples would float or sink in water! @BogotaPublic
