School Library Media Specialist
Mrs. Hochgesang is a graduate student of Seton Hall University with a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology / School Library Media Specialist Concentration. She is honored to serve our students as the Media Specialist in our Bogota Jr/Sr High School Library. At this time, we offer a range of print books as well as eBooks and audiobooks. We also have a growing graphic novels / manga collection, too. Along with our literate materials, we house a Makerspace area with 3D printing and Vinyl Cutting, as well as special events and monthly activities for students to participate in. Every day she strives to better meet the needs of today's students, teaching research strategies and providing digital and media literacy instruction to support 21st century learners. Director of Drama
Mrs. Hochgesang is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of the Arts in the Performing Arts and of Montclair State University with a Master of Music in the Performing Arts, with an emphasis in operatic performance. She has been singing and performing on the theatrical stage all of her life and has a sincere passion for teaching the arts. Each year, she directs, costumes, and produces a Fall Play and Spring Musical with her amazing colleagues and students. Mrs. Hochgesang co-advises the International Thespian Society, were BHS Drama Club students can participate as an honorary school chapter in state held events, competitions, and festivals.
