Ms. Silletti is our staff member of the month for January. Ms. Silletti is a kindergarten teacher who consistently goes above and beyond for her students. She is always open to trying new strategies to determine what works best, creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Kind, patient, and welcoming, Ms. Silletti makes students and staff feel valued and supported. She is a strong advocate for her students and is deeply committed to helping each one succeed. For our Bixby Martin Luther King Day of Service, our entire school hosted a fundraiser to promote literacy in our community. Our school raised $211.61 to support the Bogota Library's Summer Reading Program! Thanks for all you do Bogota Library!

Students in Mrs. Gadd's class learned all about hydroponic gardens. They planted lettuce seeds in December and finally harvested them! The students had a great time with the hands-on garden all while learning about the needs of plants and healthy eating!

To close the astronomy topic they made the phases of the moon using Oreos and constellations with marshmallows and toothpicks. What fun!
