For our Bixby Martin Luther King Day of Service, our entire school hosted a fundraiser to promote literacy in our community. Our school raised $211.61 to support the Bogota Library's Summer Reading Program! Thanks for all you do Bogota Library!

Students in Mrs. Gadd's class learned all about hydroponic gardens. They planted lettuce seeds in December and finally harvested them! The students had a great time with the hands-on garden all while learning about the needs of plants and healthy eating!

Due to inclement weather, Bogota Schools will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, Jan 27. Classes start at 9:50. Students should arrive at least 10 mins prior.

On Monday, Jan 26, all Bogota schools will be closed due to inclement weather.

To close the astronomy topic they made the phases of the moon using Oreos and constellations with marshmallows and toothpicks. What fun!

In honor of MLK, 2nd graders chose a special service project. They designed special bookmarks to give to a kindergarten buddy and read with them! Kindness & giving back in honor of the work of MLK is so important! Great job 2nd grade!

Congratulations to our December staff member of the month, Ms. Cali Skrnich! Ms. Skrnich has been teaching in Bogota for the past 16 years. During that time she has taught K-6 Enrichment, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and Kindergarten. Ms. Skrnich is an outstanding kindergarten teacher who brings enthusiasm, dedication, and positivity into everything she does. She consistently goes above and beyond for her students, creating a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment where children thrive both academically and socially.
In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Skrnich contributes greatly to the entire school community by helping to manage and run our social media pages. Her efforts help highlight the wonderful events, achievements, and daily moments that make Bixby such a special place.
