Mrs. Ingy Adam

Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Ms. Adam, and I am excited to be your 8th-grade math teacher for both regular and honors classes. This is my 14th year teaching middle school math, and I truly love what I do.

Math has always been my favorite subject. In my early secondary school years, I was fortunate to learn from a teacher with incredibly high standards. She pushed every student to improve and always believed in our potential. Her dedication inspired me to become the kind of teacher who sets high expectations while supporting students every step of the way.

In my classroom, I believe in the power of practice and persistence. I want my students to see that with effort and determination, anyone can succeed in math. My goal is to create an enthusiastic, supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to grow and achieve their best.

You Can Help!

As a parent, your involvement is crucial to your child's success in school. Here are some ways you can support your child's learning and stay engaged with their progress:

  1. Ask About Their Day:

    • Encourage your child to share what they learned in class each day.

    • Ask about their favorite part of the day and any challenges they faced.

  2. Review Homework:

    • Set aside time each evening to go over homework and assignments.

    • Provide a quiet and organized space for them to study.

  3. Stay Informed:

    • Check the class newsletter or website for updates on projects, tests, and important dates.

    • Attend parent-teacher conferences and school events to stay connected.

  4. Encourage Reading:

    • Set a daily reading time and let your child choose books they enjoy.

    • Discuss the stories and characters to enhance their comprehension skills.

  5. Promote Good Habits:

    • Ensure your child gets enough sleep, eats a healthy diet, and stays physically active.

    • Teach them time management skills to balance schoolwork and extracurricular activities.
