Welcome to Response to Intervention (RTI) with Mrs. Krynicki

"Free your mind and the rest will follow."

Hello! My name is Mrs. Krynicki and I am very excited to be a part of the Bixby family as a Response to Intervention (RTI) instructor. Please visit our district Response to Intervention page to learn more about RTI.

I have been teaching since 2012, but I have worked with students in Bixby since 2017. The intervention programs that are used in my classroom are the Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words (SIPPS) and the Wilson Reading Program (WRS). Last year I received my Wilson Level 1 Certification and became a Wilson Dyslexia Practioner (W.E.P).

While working in a small group, students are able to focus on learning new strategies and reviewing learned strategies in order to master skills that will benefit them academically. Students will be able to flex their reading and writing muscles while working on lessons that are aligned with phonological skills necessary for reading. In math, students work toward understanding concepts and compulation strategies taught in the classroom.
