Out of over 2000 elementary and middle schools, Bixby School was ranked number 43, qualifying it in the TOP 50 in the State of New Jersey. Criteria used included year-to-year improvement on annual PARCC tests, with emphasis and focus on key groups such as English Language Learners and Economically Disadvantaged Students. • Principal for A Day

Meet Austin (4th Grader) who replaced Mr. Englese as “Principal for a Day” at Bixby School. Austin had a very busy day performing all his duties as principal. He started his morning off by signing papers and checking the attendance of the staff and students while drinking his Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate, which was waiting for him on his desk. His day continued with visiting each classroom, giving out birthday cards and pencils to those students celebrating a birthday that day followed by some “teacher observations”. He called a meeting with “his staff” during lunch in the conference room to discuss some of his new ideas as principal. We hope to continue this tradition at Bixby School for years to come.
