I will be sending home all papers that have been completed and graded usually on the same day, as well as posting grades in RealTime. The best way to see how your child is doing in each subject is to log onto RealTime each week.
Students will be given a Student Planner. They will write their assignments in their planner and place any important papers in their folder. After they complete an assignment, they should place it in the front pocket of the folder. Students are to read every night for 20 - mins (Raz-Kids is accepted) and will be collected every Friday for check in and then graded with 30 days of reading. I encourage parents to review the contents of their child’s homework folder as well as checking the Google Class. Homework is posted each day in the classroom.
I believe that homework is necessary for practicing skills that have been learned or for enriching the classroom experience.
I expect all the homework and class work to be turned in on time. Late assignments will be graded with points taken off. Students will not be allowed to call home if they forget their work . Students should pack their book bags at night with all the materials needed for the next day. Organization is the key to success!
Students will have their id and passwords on the first day of school, for websites/logins that will be needed. Please make sure your child brings their chrome book fully charged each day! We use these each day for assignments throughout the subject areas.
