Greetings incoming fifth graders and families!

As we get settled into a new school year, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you and to introduce myself. I have been teaching fifth grade at Steen School for 20 years. I enjoy this grade level immensely; fifth graders are funny, mature, and very smart. We'll keep each other on our toes, that's for sure! In OUR classroom the motto is: We All Fit In!, whether that is a live classroom, or virtual. I wholeheartedly believe that we all have important things to say; we will listen to one another with respect, we will share with empathy and understanding, and we'll learn from each other every day. My goal is to make this year as enjoyable as possible. This will certainly require a tremendous amount of enthusiasm on all our parts!
