Meet The Teacher Page
My name is Mrs. Silletti and I will be your child’s Kindergarten Teacher. I’m extremely excited to be a part of their first year as part of our Steen School family. Kindergarten will be filled with many exciting experiences and milestones for your child and I’m honored that I will be sharing them with you!
East Stroudsburg University, PA with a degree in Early Childhood Professionalism and Montclair State University for Teaching Certificate and my Masters in Preschool through Grade 3.
I originally wanted to own my own daycare, but discovered my true passion was teaching in a classroom. I taught for 5 years at a Preschool/Daycare where I taught toddlers for 4 years and Pre-K for a year. I was also the Director of the school where I was able to use my teaching experience and creative side when creating the school’s curriculum and activities. When I realized my true passion and was given the opportunity to teach here at Steen School, I enrolled in the Alternate Route Program where I was able to obtain my official teaching certificate. I have now moved onto earning my Masters from Montclair State University in Preschool through Grade 3. I’m fun, creative, and passionate when it comes to teaching in the classroom. I’ve been part of the Steen School family for 5 years and have had such a great experience I hope to continue to share with you and your child. Through my teaching experience, I have always been committed to the importance of parent involvement in a student’s education. I believe your child receives the best education when you and I work together as a team. To help your child be more successful I ask for your cooperation and a small amount of your time. Please be aware of what your child brings home every night and communicate any comments or concerns you may have with me.
I can be reached by calling the Steen School, your child’s take home folder, or email. I try to check my email as much as I can throughout the day so my email is the best way to reach me if not an urgent concern.
