Ms. Ariana Dellosa

Dear Families,

Hello! My Name is Ms.Ariana Dellosa, and I am thrilled to be your child’s Music Teacher. I am the elementary general and vocal teacher here in Bogota and I have the privilege of working with every student throughout the school year. I am excited to begin this year listening to, creating, and experiencing great music in the classroom. I am a graduate of Susquehanna University, with a concentration in Keyboard, and am most recently certified in John Feierabend's First Steps in Music. I believe that every human being is inherently musical. We can grow students’ musical aptitude through being Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful people. A tuneful person not only has tunes in their head but is able to coordinate their voices to sing those tunes. A beatful person is able to feel the pulse of music and how that pulse is grouped (in either 2s or 3s), and an Artful person has a sensitivity to music and can be moved by what they hear in order to elicit an emotional response. Educational excellence cannot be obtained without the overall commitment to helping students love music, by fostering a nurturing environment, and by empowering self-directed, life-long learners. This year, all students will meet for 40 minutes once a week and will sing, move, chant, play, read, write, improvise, dance, and compose music. All this is done in an engaging way that lines up with best practices in music education. Please use this website to access information about music classes as well as important announcements regarding recorder resources and choral performances throughout the year. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email at adellosa@bogotaboe.com or by calling the main office at (201) 441-4834.

I look forward to meeting you all soon!
