Our 32nd President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, once said, “There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.” In the Bogota Public School District, we are not standing still or accepting the status quo. We are changing because our schools can be excellent. We already have the staff to make this possible. Our efforts for reform go beyond the class-room walls. As you pass by, you will see concrete evidence that we are striving to create safe, welcoming, learning environments in each of our schools. This does not just refer to building structures, but to the environment inside the schools. The greatest measure of the success of any district is the strength of the relationships that exists between children and caring adults.
